Here is a video presentation of a nice flying car by the name of ‘X-Hawk flying car’ which is to be released in 2010. X-Hawk comes in a form of an aerial vehicle, which gives it the capability of traveling in places no such air plane or vehicle can go.

It has 2 engines which look like fans and this reduces the risk of danger of electrical wires and other obstacles. If this car which is approximately the size of a large van was to be released, who knows the cost of this and who knows what side effects could this cause. For example, lets use the Xbox 360. When Microsoft was releasing Xbox 360, they surely had tested the xbox fully, checked all possible ways of breaking down, and even Beta Tested it…but How did hundreds of Xbox 360s get returned because they are bricked. Microsoft sure didn’t intend this to happy nor did they know about it, and this sort of thing happens a lot in the technology portion of the market. Another example would be the Windows Vista :p.
In the video it uses three examples of good places this car could come in handy. 1) In an emergency situation such as an ambulance trying to get to the hospital and avoid the major traffic. This X-Hawk can pickup and fly the patient faster to the hospital. It’s even equipped as an aerial ambulance. 2) In a fire situation. Imagine a big fire on a really tall building, no firetruck is able to reach that high to rescue any civilians and depending on the situations the fireman might not have the ability to enter the story where the civilians are keeping themselves safe. This is another situation the X-Hawk comes in handy. If you look at the video, you’ll see how the X-Hawk works for this. Basically as long as the civilians have access to a window or anything else that would allow them to break through and reach outside the building. The X-Hawk could fly to the window and grab the people without much effort involved. 3) The third example is used in a police chase situation. If the police car is perhaps too slow or damage or incapable of keeping up with a suspect due to traffic, the X-Hawk could be much efficient in this case. Since X-Hawk is smaller and expandable as compare to a helicopter it would be much easier to capture a suspect.
So yes, we all cannot wait to see, and get the opportunity to take this baby for a ride, but as I mentioned before..what about side effects? I do not have the intention to scare anyone or state bad statements regarding this aerial vehicle but Security I hope is a major component of this vehicle.
Overall, I am generally pretty happy to see this because it proves that our technology has exponentially grown..again, and if this ends up working well I hope its not too expensive because I sure wouldn’t mind owning one one day.
